The editor-in-chief of the magazine has been Dr. arch., Associate Professor of the School of Business, Art and Technology "RISEBA", formerly also the director and founder of the Latvian Museum of Architecture, author of several books dedicated to the history of architecture Jānis Lejnieks; The editorial team includes the editor of a long-term magazine and co-author of many publications and books, architect Velta Holcmane, as well as the editor of the chronicle, the head of the Latvian Museum of Architecture, the curator of architecture and design exhibitions - Ilze Martinsone and others.
On October 15th, 2020, the best works of young architects from Baltic states were awarded, this year as an online event. The award for the best master level work was given to Keiti Lige(Estonian Academy of Arts, Estonia), and the award for the best bachelor degree work – to Ksenia Sapega (RISEBA University, Latvia).
The event was organized for the 8th time by Baltic Architects’ Unions’ Association (BAUA) aiming to highlight the best young professionals presenting the best graduation projects of all the architectural schools from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
This year’s edition features 12 projects from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Lithuania), Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), Vilnius Academy of Arts (Lithuania), RISEBA University (Latvia), Riga Technical University (Latvia), TTK University of Applied Sciences (Estonia) and Estonian Academy of Arts (Estonia).
Since 2006, as every year, the Latvian School of Architecture will hold a workshop. This year's theme is OUT OF THE GRAY AREA or UNUSUAL ADVENTURES ON THE WAY FROM ZEMITANI TO BRASA. This year, the plein air will take place remotely, maintaining the current format and settings, management from the Sports 2 Quarter. The plein air will take place from September 28 to October 2.
