Preparatory Drawing Courses 2026
RISEBA University of Applied Sciences offers preparatory drawing courses for the entrance examination to the Bachelor’s study programme Architecture. The courses are led by Mg.Art. Laura Potaša-Strode.
During the course, participants will acquire basic skills in classical drawing and an understanding of composition principles, while also developing their individual abilities. Although the course topics and methodology are specifically oriented toward the competencies required for studies in the Bachelor’s programme in Architecture, the course content may also be useful for prospective students of other study programmes related to creative arts.
Upon successful completion of the final examinations in drawing and composition, participants receive a certificate approved by the RISEBA administration. The examination results are recognised as a passed entrance examination for the RISEBA Bachelor’s programme in Architecture, allowing applicants to participate in the competition for study places.
Course start: 4 March 2026
Objectives
The primary objective of the preparatory courses is to ensure a level of visual arts knowledge and skills necessary for successful competition for admission to the RISEBA Bachelor’s programme in Architecture.
The secondary objective of the courses is to provide an understanding of image-making culture for individuals interested in the fundamentals of visual arts.
Course Content
Drawing assignments focus on the depiction of geometric forms, with particular emphasis on:

The drawing methodology includes the completion of several (6–7) tasks of varying levels of complexity during the course sessions. However, the duration and focus of the tasks may vary depending on the participants’ level of preparation. Additional sketching sessions may also be organised during class time.
