Summer Admissions - Bachelor's study program
RISEBA Faculty of Architecture and Design welcomes international applicants to apply for the academic Bachelor's study program "Architecture" – a fully English-taught program designed to prepare you for a global career in a professional and creative environment. Classes begin September 2026.
Admission Process for International Applicants
As an international student, your admission process is tailored to your needs – no on-site entrance exam in Riga is required. Instead, the selection committee evaluates your potential based on two components:
1. Digital Portfolio
Since international applicants do not take the physical drawing exam, the admission committee places significant emphasis on your portfolio to assess artistic potential, spatial thinking, and technical skills.
- Format: 12 horizontal A3 pages, PDF (max 5 MB)
- Content: Freehand drawing (perspective, proportions, composition), technical drafting, sketching, and other creative works such as painting or photography
- Submission: Send to [email protected] or share a download link – submit by your application date
2. Online Interview
Every international applicant is required to complete an online interview via Zoom or another video platform. The interview covers your motivation, portfolio, and career goals, and helps ensure the program is the right fit for you. RISEBA will contact you to schedule the interview after your application is received.
Key Dates and Requirements
- Application deadline: 30 June 2026 – apply at my.riseba.lv
- English proficiency: Minimum B2 level, demonstrated via IELTS, TOEFL, or another internationally recognised certificate, or the RISEBA English language test
- Admission results: Communicated by email after portfolio review and interview completion
