Slice of Architecture: Power to Renovation
Join us at RISEBA FAD, Sep. 25th, for an insightful event exploring the critical importance of renovation over demolition & decay in the face of today's environmental and housing challenges. The event will begin with an introductory lecture by the HouseEurope! Latvia team, followed by a short documentary film, offering real-world examples of successful renovation projects that breathe new life into existing structures.
Slice of Architecture: GROUNDED
This November 18th, we will have Bilge Kalfa, one of the curators of the Turkish pavillion in the Venice Architecture Biennale, giving her lecture: “GROUNDED.” So we invite all our students, and anyone interested in architecture and design, to join us at our Durbes iela 4 campus, starting from 13:00.

HydroCity: Wirral Waters - Book
FAD publishes a book about the HydroCity: Wirral Waters project, which took place in Birkenhead, UK. The teams engaged in zoning, masterplan creation, and pilot building design, shedding light on the "Blind spots in architecture," which was that year's academic theme.

The group composed of Reinijs Acht, Beata Valdmane and Ingus Martinsons excelled in their 2024 AW 2nd Year Assignment, and delivered to the jury the outstanding project: "ZVIRGZDU KLINTS" A Mixed-Use Building as a Contemporary Sandstone Formation
