Fifteen 1st-year architecture students from RISEBA University Faculty of Architecture and Design (FAD) team up with the artists Julien Morel (FR), Māris Grosbahs (LV) and architects Didzis Jaunzems, Dina Suhanova (LV) to place an art installation in the front yard of RISEBA Architecture and Media centre H2O 6 - the post-industrial site of former A. Hoflinger pulp and cardboard factory building, known also as the showroom of Grīvas mēbeles.
The installation will be a part of Staro Rīga 2016 festival events and program taking place across Riga from Nov 17 until 20. Opening: Thursday, Nov 17, 19.00 / Str. Durbes 4.

From 11 to 13 November architecture students from RISEBA FAD, RTU APF and landscape architecture students from the LLU are invited to participate in the three-day plein-air to work on the visions of Aizpute Livonian Order Castle and its urban surroundings future development, restoration and transformation of castle ruins into Lejaskurzeme Culture and Arts centre.

First DesignSmash RIGA contest organized by RISEBA University Faculty of Architecture and Design in cooperation with DesignSmash and Massportal is just over. Teams of 11 designers came together and worked on the design prototypes using 3D modelling software and 3D printers provided by MassPortal. Congratulations to the winning team of DesignSmash Riga contest - RISEBA FAD architecture students Arta Lāce and Helēna Laura Bindemane. The designers will eventually solve the issue of tangled wires and cables in everyones pockets and bags.
